Both the Men's Section and the Ladies' Section of Whitley Bay & Tynemouth Hockey Club use The Wooden Doll for post-match hospitality and social events.
The pub is situated a short distance from The Parks and is located in one of the older parts of North Shields with magnificent views of the River Tyne. The Club and its guests are well catered for with excellent food and a range of well kept beers.

Monday Night - Quiz Night 8.15 - 10-15 pm

Tuesday Night - two main meals from the Specials Board for £5.00 (5 pm - 8 pm) with real ale at £2.50 per pint.
Buskers Night from 9 pm.

Wednesday Night - RetroNight - Retro Home Cooked Classics at Retro Prices - around £4.50

Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights - the main menu is full operation plus a Special Sea Food Banquet for two priced at £18 (including two glasses of wine or house bottled beer or soft drinks).

Saturday Lunch Time - two main courses from the Specials Board for £8.00, 12 - 4 pm. The Sea Food Banquet is available all day.

Sunday Lunch - traditional Sunday Lunch with all the trimmings including home-made Yorkshires - £7.00 per main course (booking advised).
