On Saturday 24th March 2012 WBTHC Men's 1s met Alderley Edge Men's 1s in a crucial game to decide promotion from North Hockey Mens League Division One to the Premier Division. WBTHC won 3-2 to finish top of the table and gain promotion for the second successive year.
